Birdies for Charity
We are pleased to announce that we have been chosen to participate in the Birdies for Charity Program in conjunction with the Houston Open Golf Tournament. Sponsored by the Astros Golf Foundation, the program is designed to give participating charities the opportunity to generate contributions through one-time flat rate donations. The Houston Open administers the program, invoices all donors, and turns over 100% of all funds collected to the designated organizations.
Hearts with Hope Foundation will be listed as one of the participating charities on the Houston Open Web Page, and benefit from the exposure that listing provides. In addition, the Foundation has the chance of earning an additional cash “bonus” from the Houston Open, as a part of their Bonus Program, which this year totals $100,000.00. The top 15 organizations that collect the highest total of donations, will share in the Bonus Program.

Donors who make a donation to the Foundation through the Houston Open website, will be given the opportunity to guess the total number of birdies made during the 4 rounds of the tournament, and the winner will receive an “Astros Suite Night at Minute Maid Park” which will take place during the 2023 season.
The Program officially launches on August 17, 2022, and will run through November 13, 2022, the final date of the Tournament. If you are participating in the Guess the Birdies Contest, your guesses must be in by November 9, 2022, at 8 PM.
Additionally, the top six fundraising organizations that raise the highest amount of dollars by the October 12 deadline at 5pm, and two randomly drawn charities will be granted one day each to solicit donations on-site during tournament week. This will give us the opportunity to raise more awareness and raise more funds AT the actual tournament, so please, get those bids in before October 12!
